PDF Compressor (the "App") is independently developed by an independent developer ("we", "us"). Please read this disclaimer carefully before using the App. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the entirety of this disclaimer.
2. "As Is" Provision
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will operate uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
3. Functionality Statement
The App is a local PDF compression utility. All processing happens locally on your device, including:
- Selecting a local PDF and compressing it to 500KB, 1MB, 2MB, 5MB, or a target size
- Custom target KB/MB inputs (Pro)
- Three compression quality modes: High, Balanced, and Extreme
- Intuitive results display (compressed size, reduction ratio, and target achievement status)
- Saving to local files or sending via the system share sheet
- In-app purchases (to unlock Lifetime Pro)
The App does not provide: cloud backup or storage, online PDF editing or annotation, file password decryption, OCR text extraction, or network downloading.
4. User Content and Copyright Responsibility
PDF files you import, compress, save, or share through the App are your responsibility. You must confirm their lawful source and authorization scope. Do not use the App to process documents that infringe on another person's copyright, trade secrets, likeness, or other legitimate rights.
Any legal liability arising from processing, saving, or sharing such content through the App rests solely with the user, not with the App or its developer.
5. Upload Platform Compliance Statement
The "common targets" in the App (such as 500KB, 1MB, 2MB, 5MB, 10MB, etc.) are based on public references for typical upload restrictions. They do not constitute a guarantee of compliance with any official platform or third-party portal. Requirements for PDF size, page limits, and format may change at any time across different regions, agencies, or systems.
Before submitting your document, always verify the latest official instructions published by your target platform. We are not liable for any rejection, delay, or loss caused by files not meeting system rules.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the App
- Device damage, data loss, or other losses resulting from use of the App
- Damage caused by user error or misuse
- Service interruptions due to force majeure (including but not limited to natural disasters, network failures, iOS system updates causing compatibility issues)
- Issues caused by third-party services or software
7. In-App Purchases
All in-app purchase transactions are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms of service. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support. We do not directly handle payment or refund matters.
8. Third-Party Components
The App uses Apple-provided system frameworks including SwiftUI, PDFKit, and StoreKit 2. It does not integrate third-party advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or A/B testing SDKs.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
This disclaimer is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if unsuccessful, either party may file a lawsuit with a court of competent jurisdiction where the developer is located.
